And if you are like me, you probably didn’t like the aggressive marketing tactics adopted by the product. While the advertising tactics may be discouraging, the features of MacKeeper is otherwise.

MacKeeper is an antivirus built primarily for Mac computers. Due to the bad image that the aggressive advertising tactics gave the product, its new owners, Clario, seeks to shed more light on the features of MacKeeper, rather than continue with the previous marketing methods.

This tool under the cleaning feature of MacKeeper helps you delete junk files, caches, mail attachments, and the likes. The feature doesn’t delete your important files. While you can delete these files manually, the safe cleanup saves you time and stress as it does it in a few clicks.

Duplicates Finder

This feature helps you keep your Mac computer clean and clear by searching and deleting file duplicates. The exciting thing about this feature is that it doesn’t determine file duplicates using file names. It scans the content of the files to determine whether or not they are duplicates.

This means that if you save two or more files with the same name, the feature will not affect them as long as their contents are different.

Smart Uninstaller

This feature also cleans your Mac computer by deleting unused apps, plugins, extensions, and widgets. The feature scans your mac computer and identifies these files for your review. After you review the apps and files, the feature then deletes them.

The function of this feature is to ensure that your Mac computer works efficiently, optimally, and as fast as possible. As such, it reduces the RAM workload, updates applications and programs on the computer to their better versions, and many more. Some of the tools under this heading include:

AdBlocker

The AdBlocker feature on the computer allows you to avoid the menace of online marketers and advertisers. Working as a browser extension for Chrome and Safari, the feature blocks online ads and also prevents online advertisers from tracking you.
